Christian The Lion

It's the true story of two London men who adopted a lion cub, raised it and released it back into the wild. The reunion scene - where the grown male lion remembers them and rushes to give them a lion hug, is powerful stuff - especially those seconds where you're not quite sure just what he's going to do next. Christian the Lion has all the elements of the classic feel-good movie, and it gets it done in less than three minutes pity about the Whitney Houston - I will always Love you - soundtrack but I guess it adds to the melodrama

This clip is pure rock and roll - compared to most of the bullshit tame, commercial crap that passes off as music today. This didn't just live and breathe it came with fire out of its nostrils and made the audience and anyone within a hundred miles sit up and take notice. Awesome, brilliant stuff!!!!

Sarah Palin - The Turkey Interview

With Thanksgiving around the comer I though we should look at an interview that gives thanks for that fact this woman is not the vice president of the USA - a heartbeat away from the oval office. In this post election interview we see her talking open and frankly about...well it doesn't really matter as your eyes are drawn to the turkeys being slaughtered behind her in the background. Just what were they thinking filming that?? Why was she so happy to stand in front of it??? Just be THANKFUL she is not in the Whitehouse.

The victory speech of Barack Obama

Well it was the speech that marked the end of his journey into history as the first black man elected president of the United States of America. Amid the thank yous is one of the great speeches of our tim - my generation's Martin Luther King or JFK. A speech crafted to be completely inclusive - he reaches out to the far right and acknowledged everyone, black white gay straight. He is the most important thing that has happened to america and the world in the past 8 years and hopefully we will see the wrongs of Bush administration corrected and the US take the lead on the issues that will affect the world. So here it is - all 17 minutes, if you haven't seen it here it is certainly worth having a look at.
